Abstracts is a series of abstract (asemic) calligraphic works, made with a broad edged pen. It is this tool that has shaped the Latin, Hebrew and Arabic alphabets for over two thousand years. The pieces are spontaneous improvisations, and they may be seen as simulated systems of writing – in fictitious languages. It was first published as a book by H/O/F (2012).
