This workshop combines the basics of capital letters with an intriguing and exciting way of breaking up and experimenting with their line quality. 

First session: We will look at the proportions of the Roman capital letters, focusing on double pencils and the way this duolinear tool can reveal their inner structure. Capitals will also be demonstrated in a simplified form with a pen.

Second session: We will see what happens when we start to experiment and play with the duolinear quality and make the two lines interact in dynamic ways. This will also include some gestural movement excercises with the pen.
