These sessions will focus on design and lay out / composition. What better chance than to use the Christmas Card genre as a springboard? 

We need to consider size, style, weight, asymmetry / symmetry, margins and spacing of design elements.

This workshop is for the intermediate to advanced student. The main focus here is on the placement of letters rather than their excecution, but I will also be demonstrating and making Christmas cards on the go. In other words, you will need to have a few lettering styles on your palette in order to use this workshop in practice, but if you’re just in it for the ride, you’re welcome to tag along.

I will be sharing my collection of cards and envelopes with you also. My collection spans over 30 years and I am lucky to possess some real gems that I can will share.

When: Two week class in Zoom, Saturday 27th November, Thursday 2nd December, 2021, 20:00–21:00 (90 mins). [Oslo time]. 

Content: Access to videos for two months after classes have ended, talks and demos. Corrections and comments between sessions (using Slack). Downloadable workbook as pdf.
